String Group

22 10 2008

On a Wednesday lunchtime pupils in key stage two have started a new club; a snazzy string group! At present we only have violins but, following half term, we hope that some of the guitar players might join us too.

We have only had two practises, but have already made our first recording!

World War 2 Class Assembly

22 10 2008

On friday the 17th class severn did a fantstic world war 2 peformance. One of the parents even started singing along with the old song run rabbit, which was performed in the time of world war 2.

Class severn and Miss Spandrzyk rehersed over and over and over again. Everyone enjoyed dressing up as people in the war time. Amy Castle shouted afterwards “This is one of the best things I have ever been in.”Some of the other students thought it was fun but a bit embarassing.

I am really enjoying the book but iv’e seen the film. I think the book is better. It is really interesting and it is good because in our History lessons we are doing about ‘World War Two’ and evacuees just like William Beech (Willie).
